Kristina of
Pretty Shiny Sparkly created a new series called
“Bloggers Do It Better,” and the first task is
Color blocking or Bold Colorful Stripes! When I first saw the task, I thought I would just share this
post for the event (in case I didn’t wear a color blocking outfit before tomorrow), but I’ve been wanting to wear these culottes that I got on my 1st Goodwill thrifting excursion!
Blouse: Forever 21; Culottes: Tan Jay (thrifted); Shoes: Steve Madden; Clutch: Forever 21
I ADORE these culottes; they look like a skirt, until I walk. I am a big fan of tie neck blouses, but I wanted to try wearing this blouse untied for the first time, and I really love the look, especially for the hot Houston weather!
I saw this awesome hair tutorial on
Franchesca’s blog and had to give it a try! I was a little worried it wouldn’t work on my hair because its so thick and shorter than hers, but I LOVE IT!! You guys will definitely be seeing more of this hair style (I hope y’all don’t tire of it, lol).
As I mentioned in this
post, colorblocking is one of my favorite Spring trends, that I look forward to wearing many more times to come! Is it one that you will be trying?
UPDATE: To see more interpretations of color blocking and bold colorful stripes from other bloggers, give Pretty Shiny Sparkly a visit!
HAVE A LOVELY WEEK!!!
