20 Things I’m Proud of Myself For in 2020
Whew! 2020…what a year! This year went nothing like I expected or hoped it would, but I must also admit, that this year went better for me, than it did for many. I am grateful, but also consistently thinking and praying for those who have experienced horrible loss this year. Though much of 2020 caught me off guard, and there were goals that I was unable to achieve, due to COVID, as I reflect, I realize that I accomplished quite a bit. Therefore, today I write, to celebrate myself.
Here are 20 things I’m proud of myself for in 2020:
Surviving the year.
Surpassing my goal of paying off $5,000 of my credit card debt.
Relaunching this blog.{ Imma work on posting with more consistency in 2021}
Making my first cake from scratch…and it was actually tasty!
Starting the Black Style Anecdotes Podcast.
Finding a therapist, and doing some introspective work on myself.
Keeping my Bridal Flea business alive, in spite of COVID only allowing me to host one event. Hoping to return to having events in 2021!
Increasing my credit score by 100 points.
Transitioning out of the classroom.I’ve been wanting to be a College Counselor for a couple of years.
Doing a better job of asking for what I want.
Being a good daughter.
Working to be a better girlfriend.
Doing things that scare me.
Keeping my plants alive…most of them.
Supporting more Black-owned businesses.
Polishing my nails each week.
Making new friends…well really one, lol. Making real legit friends is hard af.
Being my authentic self on social media.
Doubling my CML Goods sales for the year.
Learning how to use GarageBand.
BONUS: Showing more grace to myself.
Cheers to a new year lovelies! I have no idea what 2021 may hold, but I hope and pray that we all do things that we can look back on, with pride, in 365 days…
